Strategic means
SCA work along a three-pronged strategy of influencing policies, supporting partners on the ground working for social change, and building public commitment. These three are mutually reinforcing and augment the impact we seek for our target groups.
Policy and influence
We seek to influence policies that are decisive for the rights of the Afghan people and particularly our target groups. Building on experiences by our partners on the ground, and working closely with likeminded advocacy actors, research institutions and think-tanks, we generate knowledge that informs policy-reform.
Partnerships for social change
We work with a range of local and international partners in addressing development challenges in Afghanistan. With the mindset that we go further together, we build on each other’s strengths to effectively support social change. SCA puts emphasis on partnering with and capacitating local organisations in Afghanistan that are rooted in rural areas.
Public commitment
We nurture solidarity with the Afghan people by mobilising our members in raising awareness, disseminating knowledge, carrying out fundraising campaigns and shaping public opinion. We believe public commitment is key for maintaining international support to the cause of promoting the rights of women, girls, boys and people with disabilities in Afghanistan.
